I Hate This had its first performance February 28, 2003 at the Cleveland Public Theatre with the following cast and crew:

Director: Thomas W. Cullinan
Original score: Dennis Yurich

The same production was brought to the 2003 Minnesota Fringe Festival, later to the 2004 New York International Fringe Festival where it received an Award for Excellence in Solo Performance. It has since been toured through the Midwest, and a seven-date tour of Great Britain.
